Join your neighbors and fellow park lovers as we give back at the Barton Creek Greenbelt! We will be dragging and inoculating invasive tree brush with native fungi that have been removed by the Texas Conservation Corps crew working throughout the Greenbelt. Invasive trees are huge problem in our green spaces and we need your help mitigating fire risk of large piles of brush and helping our crews focus on removing as many trees as possible. Please join us for a fun day of learning and improving the health of our urban forest!
We'll bring gloves and tools, you'll just need to bring your own waterbottle. We are encouraging everyone to wear masks and we'll be sure to socially distance while working. If you are not feeling well or have had a potential exposure, please stay home and cancel your registration to make room for someone else. There are limited spots so be sure to register in advance if you can make it.
You can park in the Barton Springs parking lot and we'll meet there at the Violet Crown/Greenbelt Trailhead at west end of the lot.
Perks: Stewardship of our city's amazing green spaces!
Parking: Plenty of free parking at the Barton Springs Pool parking lot
