IN-PERSON / OUTDOOR EVENT
DATE: Sunday, November 14, 2021
TIME: 12-3 PM
LOCATION: Eden East Farm
Join CTMS and Marysol Mushrooms for an outdoor, hands-on, mycology in the garden workshop. We will begin with a delicious mushroom lunch catered by Storehouse Market & Eatery that will include mushrooms grown by Marysol. Next, we will tour Eden East Farm and learn how to apply recycled mushroom blocks to help benefit the soil. Lastly, we will participate in a hands-on container mushroom gardening or bucket-tek workshop using recycled materials that will allow you to grow mushrooms at home. Everyone will have a container to take home. No need to bring materials, they will all be provided for you.
Ticket price includes parking, materials and tools to create a mushroom container garden, and a mushroom lunch from Storehouse Market with Marysol Mushrooms. Family friendly. Kids under 12 are free and must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets are limited and are $30 for Members and $40 for non-member. Encourage your friends to sign-up for a membership to get discounts on workshops, walks, and mycology related events.
This low-tech class is great for beginners and advanced gardeners and doesn’t even require that you have gardening experience. Either way, you will walk away with the knowledge of:
Benefits of Fungi to the soil web and our larger ecosystem
How to grow mushrooms in the garden alongside your vegetables and perennials
How to grow mushrooms in containers (You don’t need to have a garden or backyard.)
How to grow mushrooms on logs

How to use mycelium to fertilize, mulch and revitalize your garden ecosystem.
