Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) co-evolved with over 90% of plants including most of our food crops - our plants our dependent upon it, and so are we. Learn how AMF fungi can transform plant immunity, yields, drought tolerance, biomass, and nutrient density with author, educator, and citizen scientist, Matt Powers. You'll see how roots actually look, what AMF looks like throughout its life stages, and how you can generate your own AMF inoculant at home.

Dive into this world of arbuscular mychorrhizal fungi with a pool party “soil”-cial event! Join us for a blend of learning and leisure as we explore the hidden connections between plants and fungi. After you soak up knowledge from the class by Matt Powers, we invite you to cool off with us at the venue’s pool! Savor gourmet mushroom snacks provided by fungi cook Austin Davenport as your immerse yourself in this water-centric AMF themed workshop. This microscopy class and “soil”-cial is a symbiotic combination you don’t want to miss!
