On Fall Equinox we will be joining our friends from the Central Texas Seed Savers Exchange at Museum Day at the Wildflower Center and will be giving away mushroom blocks! As part of the annual citywide Austin Museum Day, the Wildflower Center will offer FREE admission on September 22! Here’s what we have planned so far, more details coming soon!:

We are also looking for volunteers to help at the event. Wear your favorite mushroom outfit and sign-up here.
Mushroom blocks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
9 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Visit Central Texas Seed Savers and several other local grassroot organizations in the Great Hall for a plethora of engaging learning opportunities.
12 p.m. & 2 p.m. – Enjoy a unique soundscape experience in the Auditorium.
Explore your creative side with arts and craft activities led by our very own Education team.
Flutter on over to the Little House to experience our Power the Migration exhibit. Join artist Mark Menjivar on bird watching walks through the Center’s research trails. Pre-registration will be required.
