  • Single, Double and Triple Extraction methods for obtaining your desired compounds

About the Instructor

My name is Scout (they/them), and I'm a mushroom enthusiast. I live in Austin, TX and moved here from the hill country to learn more about mycology in 2021. I'm passionate about exploring and protecting the natural world, but my love for fungi began in 2015 when I found reishi for the first time. That's when I learned there are health benefits that we can get from mushrooms, and I started to go out foraging, and making my own tinctures and capsules. I then joined a mycological group (Central Texas Mycological Society) in 2020 and learned that I wanted to work on a mushroom farm, so I worked at Smallhold and later at Hi-Fi Mycology, while also teaching mycology 101 classes and leading mushroom walks. While I'm not an expert in mycology I know I deeply desire to share with the world how fascinating mycology is, and to end mycophobia.
