Join us at Gardopia Gardens for week 10 of their Urban Farming and Gardening Masterclass series. We will be learning about mycology and how to upcycle mushroom grow blocks or "spent mushroom substrate" to build healthy soil, increase water retention and divert organic matter from the waste stream.
In this class you will learn:
Grow Culinary Mushrooms: Lo-tek/no-tek Techniques for cultivating delicious and nutritious mushrooms and cycle nutrients at the same time.
Feed Plants and Wildlife: Use mushroom blocks to feed the soil food web and feed livestock and wildlife.
Build Water-Saving and Fungal-Rich Soil: Create easy and sustainable compost solutions that conserve water and improve soil quality
Clean Up Contamination: Discover research on the power of mycoremediation to detoxify and restore polluted environments.
Even if you’re not signed up for the full Masterclass series, you can still purchase tickets for individual classes on our Eventbrite——and you don’t want to miss this one! We can’t wait to see you there
