Join us at UMLAUF Sculpture Garden in Zilker Park in Austin, TX for Family Day. We will be learning about our new state mushroom the Texas Star and more about the mushrooms by making paper crafts.
UMLAUF’s monthly Family Days are designed for families and friends to explore and create. On the second Sunday of each month, we feature sculpture searches, art-making activities, performances, goods from local vendors, and more! Stay tuned for upcoming dates.
Join us for a FREE, fun-filled day at the Garden with Sculpture Searches, a featured craft, a dance course instruction from Dance Waterloo (presented by Dance Across Austin), and a Storytime Reading & Pop-Up from Jessica Lam & Shivani Bakshi with their alphabet books E is for Eggtart and K is for Kulfi! It's "Back to School" at the UMLAUF!
About the Instructor
Sheila Prescott is a former Montessori teacher and her goal is to share and educate the public about mushrooms through art. She is passionate about the environment and using items in her art that can be recycled. She offers different materials and mediums to encourage creativity and curiosity around mycology for all ages and learners.
