Join your neighbors and fellow park lovers as we give back at the Barton Creek Greenbelt! We will be continuing inoculation efforts of invasive tree brush with reishi fungi that have been removed by the Texas Conservation Corps crew in the Gus Fruh area. Invasive trees are huge problem in our green spaces and we need your help mitigating fire risk of large piles of brush and helping our crews focus on removing as many trees as possible. Please join us for a fun day of learning and improving the health of our urban forest!
We'll bring gloves and tools, you'll just need to bring your own waterbottle. You should wear long pants, closed toed shoes and be prepared to work in the heat, although we'll aim to work in the shade of the forest.
There is street parking along Barton Hills Drive. We'll meet at the Gus Fruh trailhead and hike in shortly after 9, so it's imperative that you arrive on time if not a little early. Looking forward to working with y'all, thanks so much!
