ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Ariel Bonkoski is a proud amateur mycologist currently residing in Duluth, Minnesota, where she is the coFounder of a fledgling mushroom club, Lake Superior Mycological Society. She teaches mushroom identification classes at Northwood Technical College and Duluth Folk School, as well as University of Minnesota Extension Program, and is on the mycologists roster for the upcoming WMS/NAMA Northwoods Regional Foray. Ariel is passionate about identifying mushrooms, which has earned her a spot in the top 10 iNaturalist identifiers of mushroom species in the United States (and only one slot away from top 10 in all of North America) with an astounding 39,667 identifications as of May 18!
