Join Travis Audubon for a day of exploring the biodiversity of Blair Woods, a 10-acre preserve in East Austin! From birds to fungi, this property is teeming with life that we would like to learn more about, and we want to share this special place with everybody.
This event is an Official Roots & Wings Festival Pop-Up Event. Roots & Wings Festival is a two-week long citywide combined celebration of Arbor Day and Monarch Appreciation Day, presented by the City of Austin. More information can be found at: rootsandwingsfest.com
We will have one-hour walks led by knowledgeable folks with a focus on specific groups of organisms. Beginners are welcome to join us on these walks to learn about the wildlife present at Blair Woods.
This event is free but registration is required for all walks to ensure that we have a reasonable group size for social distancing.
Schedule:

9 AM: Bird Walk
10 AM: Plant Walk
11 AM: Mycology Walk (mushrooms, fungi) with Sam the Fungi
